This is the seventh edition of the Brazilian Symposium on Plant Molecular Genetics (SBGMP), which had its first edition in 2007 in the city of Natal, RN. Since then, it has become the most important event of the Brazilian scientific community in the area of plant molecular genetics.

SBGMP VII is the result of a joint effort of the Brazilian Society of Genetics and the Brazilian scientific community of plant genetics. The SBGMP has established itself as an international standard event to discuss the latest advances in the field of plant molecular genetics, integrating basic science and its applications, highlighting the translational plant sciences.

The program is structured into 8 plenary conferences and 10 Symposiums covering relevant topics in the plant sciences (see Program for details). Internationally recognized researchers have already confirmed their presence in order to allow interaction with Brazilian scientists, postdocs and graduate students.

The event will be held in the city of Campos do Jordão, SP, known for its gastronomy, peculiar architecture and tourist attractions and, when combined with scientific programming, make it an unforgettable event.

We hope to meet you in Campos do Jordão. Schedule yourself to be with us at this great event. You can not miss it!
