This Gordon Research Conference (GRC) will provide a superb interactive forum for the discussion of The State-of-the-Art in fungal biology, diversity, biotechnology and infection. A major goal of this conference is to increase our understanding of fungal systems and their diversity, and to address these major challenges in biotechnology, food security and human health. A second goal is to empower the next generation of leaders in our field by integrating gifted junior scientists with preeminent scientists from academia and industry in a spectacular setting that is highly conducive to informal interactions setting. To enhance this further we are introducing, for the first time, an associated Gordon Research Seminar (GRS), which will include scientific and career mentoring sessions designed specifically for our junior scientists. The GRS and GRC will be held back-to-back from June 16-22.
